Get professional, supportive feedback on your dance technique skills from an experienced dance educator and coach. As a  dance educator with 20 years of experience, I take pride in providing feedback, strategies, and support that dancers really need to take their dance skills to the next level. I am available to critique and coach dance skills contemporary, lyrical, jazz, modern, and ballet via video to support your growth as a dancer.

I welcome submissions from dance parents wanting a fresh set of eyes on their child’s dance technique, dance teachers who want to help their dancers take their dance technique to the next level, or dancers who want extra support in their training. I can’t wait to help you take your dancing to the next level with dance skills coaching by video. As a dance educator, choreographer, coach, and adjudicator, I have worked with thousands of young dancers – and I’m excited to work with you, too! Let’s help you improve your skills in ballet, modern, jazz, lyrical, or contemporary technique with personalized, custom feedback delivered right to your inbox.

How dance skill critique and coaching by video works:

  1. Order a Dance Skill Critique & Coaching by Video below and pay the $25 fee. Make sure that your email address is correct on the order form. An Online Skill Critique & Coaching Submission Form will be emailed to you within 24 hours of payment, to the email address that you provided on the order form. (If you don’t receive the form within 24 hours, you can email shannon@shannondoolingdances.com)
  2. Choose one dance skill that you want to improve, such as pirouettes, fouetté turns, or leaps. (Ballet, modern, jazz, lyrical, or contemporary skills only – no acro tricks. Thank you!)
  3.  Video yourself performing this skill from at least 4 angles: front, right side, left side, and back. Others angles (diagonal, over head, close up, and distance) are also welcome.
  4. Post the video (either edited together or separate videos) to a platform like YouTube, Vimeo, GoogleDrive, Instagram, or Facebook.
  5. Submit links to the video(s) and other information using the Online Skill Critique & Coaching Submission that you received in your email.
  6. Receive your feedback within 3 business days of receipt of video, and get to work improving your skills!

On this form, you will submit a link to a video, no more than 3 minutes, you performing the skill to be critiqued, filmed from multiple angles, as well as other information that will help the adjudication process. Verbal and written feedback will be provided within 3 business days via email. No refunds will be made once feedback is provided.
